Student Support: In elementary school, this is the time of year for parent/teacher conferences. This event looks very different at middle school because students have up to 7 teachers and teachers have about 180 students. At PBMS we have parent conferences for students that are at-risk of failing classes at the semester on Wednesday, November 3. If you were not invited but have questions for your child’s teachers, please reach out to them directly. In February, PBMS hosts Student-Led conferences where your child shares their progress in all classes with you. They also reflect on their learning. It’s a great experience.

Bike Racks: We are still locking up bikes and skateboards in a room on campus. We are hosting a bike safety solutions meeting on Monday, November 8 at 5:000pm via Zoom. Please attend to hear our long term solutions and to generate other ideas. Also, if you see suspicious activity in and around the school, say something. During school hours, call us at 619-221-5600. After hours and weekends call SDPD at 619-531-2000 or SDUSD PD at 619-291-7678.

Attention 8th grade parents: With the Choice window open, you may be thinking of options for high school. Your child has automatic enrollment at Mission Bay High School. There is no need to complete a Choice application for MBHS unless you live out of district. Be sure to take the MBHS virtual tour.  MBHS Tours Our 8th graders are scheduled to take a field trip to the campus in 2022. For more information about the Choice program visit:  Neighborhood Schools and Enrollment Options
