Students in good standing who wish to participate in the end-of-the-year promotion ceremony and activities will be assessed by the administration in accordance with the following academic and behavioral expectations:
- Successful completion of an 8th grade presentation IB/MYP community project and presentation. Distinction is earned through an additional presentation evaluation.
- Completion of a minimum of 20 hrs. of documented service (see late enrollee service requirements)
- Zero behavioral issues during the 8th grade activities or the promotion ceremony
- No F grade in any class for the second semester
- No U in citizenship in any class for the second semester
- No suspensions during the last six weeks of school
- No more than two suspensions for the school year
- No excessive tardies
- No more than two suspensions for the entirety of the school year
Note: The administration may convene a Promotion Appeals Panel in the week prior to the end of the school year. If convened, the panel would review the individual student profiles on a case-by-case basis and determine eligibility for promotion and/or 8th grade activities.
